Bought as a gift, my friend seemed pleased with it and she's a fashion addict. Her teenage duaghter also read it and enjoyed it.

Our 10-year old daughter and I enjoyed this book in a museum gift shop after seeing a Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit. (It was full price there, so we came looking here...)

Each of the 50 artists is presented in about 3-5 pages. The narrative seemed solid (pretty well-written, decent scope), and the full-color, large photos accompanying each artist (caveat - I did not read all 50, but it appeared photos of designs accompany each) add significantly to the book's value and enjoyment. Even at full price, this is a good value for anyone about 9+ years of age who finds the topic interesting. I think it would be an excellent gift choice for a preteen or high-school age student interested in fashion design.
