I am currently a 3rd year fashion student and was optimistic about this book thinking it would be aimed at a basic level although it does present simple exercises in drawing etc, it is effective and offers a way in which you can improve in all areas of 2d fashion design. The book contains fashion figure templates for mens, womens and childernswear design. It is a very recent publication and is very up to date on the subject of fashion even listing trade publications and other useful information . It also presents other peoples work as examples which i found quite helpful as it displays a wealth of styles and alows you to compare your own work. It guides you through the design process from mood boards, specification and c.a.d. although it is not a manual how to use fashion programs it presents c.a.d. as a tool which can be utilised to your advantage presenting the posibilities . This book is a must for anyone looking to improve there 2d skills and portfolio and it is at a good price too; top marks

I love it! This book has been the answer to all my fashion drawing dilemmas. It explains techniques of fashion drawing and fashion design in really simple, basic steps that everyone can understand even if they have never picked up a pencil!

It shows you how to draw female and male poses, and even has a section on children and costume design! Faces, hands and feet were my nightmare and, using simple exercises and sketches, this book has made it all so easy.

It has excellent illustrations and fashion drawings, clothing/flats, fashion figures and templates. And the presentation chapter and portfolio chapters are really helpful. Every page is an inspiration! Buy this book now and, like me, I am sure you will never regret it!
